Ron Paul
I'm 99% behind Ron Paul. I think he thinks far enough outside the box to really make a positive change in this country. My only concern is his age. Bill Clinton and "W" came into office as relatively young men, and the presidency aged them quite a lot. I'm just afraid of what the rigors of the presidency will do to him.
I think a lot of people are pretty disgusted by the two major political parties. Right now there are major divisions among party lines. Democrats rather spite Republicans than do what's right and vice versa. Ron Paul actually has some members of the democratic party backing him. I think he may have enough support among both parties to help everyone find a common ground and do what's good for the country for a change.
I think the grass roots type campaign Ron is running is a lot more refreshing than funding a campaign with $1200 a plate fund raisers.
Im sleep deprived, so hopefully this makes some sort of sense.

Hi Mike --
I would share that concern if it was anyone else, but I think it'll be different with Paul.
First, Paul's major goal is to make the presidency *less* important, not moreso. The Clinton-Bush types have to worry over what type of breakfast cereal you eat, the contents of your urine, and whether the poor people of Howondaland will ever know the magic of Daylight Savings Time. President Paul, trusting in free people to act in their own best interests, will be spared the burdens of the universal busybody.
Second, remember that Paul has been plugging away for the Constitution for decades. I'll bet watching a torturer rule by decree and run up trillions in debt put more years on him than the joy of finding that millions of Americans have rediscovered their precious heritage will.
And if the pressures of office do get him down, we can always get him another blimp...
