Odds and Ends...
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Work has been nuts. Worked 6:00 AM to 11PM on friday. Then Monday I worked from 7:30 AM till around midnight. Then Tuesday I worked from 10AM to 11PM. If I was was hourly that would be awesome, but unfortunately I am salaried. Luckily today I was able to work from home and had a much needed relaxing day.
Rachel's brother Philip was in town this past weekend with his Air Force squadron. So we went to the air show at Langley AFB to see him on Sunday. I love the Virginia Beach/Hampton area, so it was a fun day. Audra, Mike and the kids as well as Rachel's parent made the trip as well. The F-22 Raptor is such an amazing plane. We'll see Philip again in August when Rachel's other brother gets married, but shortly after that he is schedule to get deployed to Iraq. So we may not get to see him for a while after that.
I saw that Tiger Woods played a round of golf together today. They should have added Lance Armstrong and Roger Federer to make one kick ass foursome!!!!
The other day I was at the driving range and there was an older man there hitting a bucket of balls. When I first got to the range I walked passed him and didn't notice anything unusual. A few minutes later, I looked up and noticed he had a rather unorthodox swing. I looked a little closer and noticed he only had one arm!!! I didn't see him hit any woods, but he seemed to be hitting his irons VERY well.
I just bought Guitar Hero II for the XBOX 360. Holy crap is that game fun. I only played it about 30 minutes, but man I was having a blast. Playing Woman by Wolfmother and Heart Shaped box is awesome. I did really well, but I only had it on the easy setting. I tried playing Heart Shaped Box on the next level and I was awful.
The curse of the Bambino was legendary in the 20th century, I think the Yankees are the cursed team in the 21st century. Phil Hughes has a no hitter through 7 innings and then blows out his hamstring. Darn the luck!!! At least the Yankees still won. But now their momentum gets stopped by a rain out in Texas. Oh yeah and Steve Karstens got his leg broken on Saturday. Wonderful!
The new Southern Style Arizon Iced Tea isn't very good. Regular lemon and raspberry Arizona is awesome. The Southern stuff, not so much.
I can't stop calling people rude, thoughtless little pigs.
I always though Alec was the "normal" Baldwin brother. I guess he's as kooky as his other brothers Daniel, Stephen, Billy, Andy, Ralph, Eddie, Tiito, Jose and Mohammed Baldwin.
The MacFarlane figure of Hurley from Lost is an awesome likeness.
I love how the Panthers dropped Keshawns ass. Im sure he will get picked up by another team, but its fun while it lasts.
I was surprised that I felt sorry for Don Donatello when he was kicked off the Big Break this week.
My backyard is infested with caterpillars. Im gonna have to start neutering all the males so they can't be caterpillar daddies anymore. I sprayed the crap out of them tonight, probably did me more hard than it did the damn critters.
