The Masters

I'm still in shock that Tiger didn't win yesterday. When he went into the final round only one shot back, I thought he would win for sure. Sort of refreshing to see that even Tiger Woods has bad days once in a while. Was kind of nice to see an underdog win. When someone like Mickelson or Tiger wins the Masters, Im sure it makes them happy, but its kind of like been there, done that. When Zack Johnson won yesterday, he seemed so genuine, humble and down to earth. Was a very sweet moment when he kissed his little baby boy.

The course just seemed like it caused such frustration. You get the impression watching these guys week to week that there are certain shots they could do in their sleep with one arm tied behind their back. That definitely wasn't the case with the Masters this year. Every shot had to be carefully planned and executed. The slightest flub could mean the difference between a birdie and a double bogey.

As far as my predictions....

Tiger finished 2nd obviously

Vijay Singh finished 13th

Geoff Ogilviy and Mickelson finished 24th

Charles Howell finished 30th

and my dark horse Jason Gore I don't think he even played. I never saw him or heard him mentioned.

Not bad 3 of the 4 finished in the top 30.

Way too cold this weekend to play golf. We even got a little snow saturday morning. We are headed down to Raleigh this weekend for Andrew and Ashley's combined birthday party. Andrew turned 5 last month, Ashley will be 3 in a few weeks. We have a tee time for Saturday night for a par 3 course called Nights Play. It's a pretty cool course where you can play 18 holes under the lights. Would have liked to play a regular course, but the schedule just wont allow for that.
