About Me

- Name: Mike
- Location: Virginia, United States
My name is Mike. I'm a 30 something father of one. Becoming a father has taught me so much about life and perspective. Watching your child from the time they are a helpless infant to an increasingly independent toddler, is truly amazing. After being way too sedentary for the past decade, I started the couch to 5K program and I'm now hooked. I am amazed that I actually enjoy running now.

David Lachapelle has a new book out. That is a very controversial cover. I guess that is what he is going for to try to sell books. I find it disgusting. Comparing her to any holy figure. Plus any talent she had she snorted it away and I still think she killed Kurt.
Yeah, I agree. It is pretty disgusting. But the controversey will probably help him sell more books.
This cover makes it seem that Courtney is even relevant anymore. when will she stop being such a pussy, and kill herself!
I think Cobain was a little better than mediocre. His lyrics may not have been real deep, but he found ways to take real simple lyrics and three or four chords and turn them into great music. I dont think anyone will ever put him in the same catagory as Paul Simon, John Lennon or Bob Dylan. Certainly his death during his prime has helped his status, but I think his music, particularly his work on Unplugged speak for themselves. I think he has one of the best rock voices of all time. His voice has so much passion and soul.
I too think Cobain was a very good writer, and musician. Till this day I miss what other music he could have had. Ten years after his death and I still find his music popular. And I won't be buying LaChapelle's book because I think he's a mediocre photographer.
I think LaChapelle cheapens his work when he has to add shock value to try to promote it. Good photos speak for themselves. SHock value just cheapens just art in my opinion
