I tend to think the rest of the world is nuts, and ass backwards. Hell that's why so many people want to come to the live in the United States. But lately I've been trying to be more accepting and open minded about other cultures. Then I read this story about breast ironing...I'm back to thinking the rest of the world sucks. ...
YAOUNDE, Cameroon (Reuters) -- Worried that her daughters' budding breasts would expose them to the risk of sexual harassment and even rape, their mother Philomene Moungang started 'ironing' the girls' bosoms with a heated stone.
"I did it to my two girls when they were eight years old. I would take the grinding stone, heat it in the fire and press it hard on the breasts," Moungang said.
"They cried and said it was painful. But I explained that it was for their own good."
"Breast ironing" -- the use of hard or heated objects or other substances to try to stunt breast growth in girls -- is a traditional practice in West Africa, experts say.

I too will admit that I got caught up, in World cup fever. I saw Italya nd Germany's overtime. Very excciting. We heard on WFAN that Italy won. And as we drove home form running errands, we saw these asses with Italy flags on their car, and hanging out the windows waving otehr flags. They were honking the horn.
For the next few hours we could hear honking of horns from freshpond road.
When my sister lived on Palmetto St, the car honking was insane around world cup time. I guess Ridgewood is a hot bed for kookie EYE-talians.
