Wizard of Oz 2005
The other night Rachel was flipping through the channels and the Wizard of Oz was on. We were watching for a bit, and we starting thinking about if they did a modern remake of the movie who would we cast for the roles. Here's what we came up with. Feel free to chime in with your own suggestions. For a few characters we couldn't settle on one answer.
Tinman: Tom Hanks
Scarecrow: Jim Carrey
Cowardly Lion: Jack Black
Wicked Witch: Rachel Dretch or Molly Shannon
Good Witch: Kate Hudson or Nicole Kidman
Dorothy: This was a tough one. Hillary Duff, Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood
Wizard: Robert Duval
And I know there weren't any "brothers" in the original, but I would find a way to work Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson into the movie in some capacity since they make every move that much better.

Good list. I guess it's more of a comedy. Morgan Freeman or Samuel L. Jackson can play the Wizard.
There was one on recently but that was with the Muppets.
Samuel L would make an awesome wizard. That wizard...he's one bad mother :-)
After comming up with that list, Rachel and I realized it would probably never happen for real. The salaries alone for all those people would be 100 million, then you add all the special effects, CGI stuff, you'll have a movie with a $300 million budget
