My name is Mike. I'm a 30 something father of one. Becoming a father has taught me so much about life and perspective. Watching your child from the time they are a helpless infant to an increasingly independent toddler, is truly amazing. After being way too sedentary for the past decade, I started the couch to 5K program and I'm now hooked. I am amazed that I actually enjoy running now.

I'm glad they called her on it.
Yeah, its funny how she was still trying to make it more dramatic by saying "they wouldn't let me report from the deeper water because the current was too dangerous". It cracked me up when Matt Lauer asked if the men who walked by were holy men and Katie Couric asked if her oar was hitting the sidewalk below :-)
