Guess Who's Back!?

I'm bck after about a week and a half. Thankfully about 98% of the stuff went well with the move into the new house. Still a few outstanding issues, but overall everything went pretty well. One of the most frustrating things so far has been dealing with Comcast. I've been without internet access at the new house for over a week now. And since my phone service is through Vonage and dependent on a broadband connection, I have no home phone service either. I've made over 2 dozens calls to Comcast. They inform me there is an error when they try to provision my modem at the new address. So finally they clear the error message yesterday, only to find out my cable modem is "ghosting" somewhere else on the Comcast network. So I have to try to swap my modem out after work today. HOPEFULLY once I do that, I will have internet access at the house.

One think I learned after moving is to THROW SHIT AWAY! Ya know that thank you card from grandma you've been holding on to since 2002? Or that receipt from Linens and Things back in June of 2001? Throw it out!!! It's amazing the amount of crap two people can accumulate in 6 years. So please take my advice and throw things away, it will make moving that much easier!!! You'll thank me later!
