New Improved RR
Today marks the launch of the new improved Road Runner service. I know to a lot of people, your internet service is second nature now. It's like tunring on a light switch, you don't realize all the work that has to be done to make all that happen. Well a lot of people work long and hard to bring you all that internet goodness we all enjoy so much.
Last nights draft went pretty well. I missed the first 3 rounds, but managed to get in and grab some players I think will perform well. I think I got a couple of steals when I picked up Maglio Ordonez, Jose Valentin and Moises Alou relatively late into the draft. I couldn't believe Alou wasnt taken early on. I was also able to pick up Jeromy Burnitz and RAY Durham pretty late in the draft. I'm a little worried about my pitching, bit I have several guys on my team with 30+ home runs, so I'm hoping to power myself to victory. Best part about my team is that it's completely free of Mets and Red Sox. Would have liked to grab Hideki Matsui and/or Gary Sheffield, but my outfield is pretty strong with Ordonez, Alou and Burnitz. If it were up to me, my entire fantasy team would be Yankees.
I've sort of had a change of heart concerning the Terri Schiavo story. I still think her parents are dilussional in thinking she can be cured, but I think the food tube should be put back in. After doing a little more research, I've concluded that Terri Schiavo isn't suffering. I don't think she has enough awareness to really know the state she is in. Theefore it almost seems like she is oblivious to just about everything around her. So if her parents aren't ready to let her go yet, I don't think they should be forced to let her die.
The Shield started back up 2 weeks ago. The first episode was a little weak, but they have introduced some new characters and the structure of the police force changed a lot, so I think they were just getting everyone caught up. The 2nd episode was really good. It had all the drug dealings, rapes, shootouts, and corruption I've come to love and expect from the show.
