Choker...

So on Saturday after Rachel got off from work, we drove over to Maryland to see my sister. We hadn't seen her since Thanksgiving, so we headed there to exchange Christmas gifts. On the way to her house it was 10-0 Pittsburgh over the Jets. I figured the Steelers, who on paper looked like a much better team than the Jets were going to crush them. Im out running some errands with my brother-in-law and I see its tied 10-10. We get back and eat dinner, after we eat I turn the game on it time to see the runback to put the Jets ahead. Wow the Jets are going to the AFC championship game? While I'm not a Jets fan, I'm much more of a Jets fan that I am a Steelers fan. I still don't understand what Herm Edwards was thinking at the end of regulation when he had Pennington take a knee and put them back another yard or two. Since Brien missed the fieldgoal by about half a foot, taking that knee made all the difference. I can't really blame Doug Brien for that first kick. It was a 47 yarder which is pretty tough, plus it was cold, windy and the pressure had to be intense. But the 2nd one he missed was just a plain and simple hook. Yikes. It makes you realize how rock solid guys like Adam Vinatieri are. To be able to kick field goals in such clutch times like he has is really amazing. He must have nerves of steel. I'm guessing the Jets will be looking for a new kicker, and perhaps a new head coach?

There are those who disagree with the US in Iraq, and I can understand why. But is President Bush really such a bad guy for wanting some stability and for promoting democracy in a part of the world that has been in utter turmoil and chaos for so very long? Aren't free elections a step in the right direction? I think the average person in Iraq wants stability and peace. It's these warmongers who want things to stay the same so they can continue to rule and lead by fear.

Tonight is my second class. Hopefully this class is a little more eventful than the 1st. Im curious to see what the others in my class come up with. See what kind of skillset I'm up against. I have this competive side, where I always want to be one up on the competition.

We watched that show Medium again last night and it was another really good episode. 24 was awesome as well. Eventually the show is going to grow old, but for now each season they seem to get a little more creative and they manage to keep things fresh.

I read that the author of Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon and Hannibal is coming out with a new novel this fall. It covers Hannibal's childhood and early teen years. Almost sounds like the new Star Wars. Where you get to see what turns a good person bad. Im a big fan of the other books/movies so hopefully this one won't disapoint. Sometimes the premise of a story doesn't live up to the hype.

On Iraq:

1) it was stable under Saddam. (People were afraid of him but it was stable)
2) we put Saddam in.
3) Free elections are a good thing
4) Saddam Gone is also good
5) I just disagree with how we went there, and what we are told as to why we are there.
6) I don't believe that the President is a bad man.
a) I believe whole-heartedly that he thinks that he is doing the "right thing."
b) I think that his father would have never made a big blunder of this as he did.
c) The politics about policies with Iraq just outright favor the rich in our country along with a lot of his domestic policies

BUT FOR THE RECORD I DON'T THINK HE IS A BAD MAN.

Dude as for your class. When you look at all of your pictures you can see how they have gotten better as you shot more. I think that you should keep on shooting you are really good at it, and if it is uneventful...At least it get you out there. Hey do you store all of your pictures? I mean like all of them or do you only save the stuff that you like????

What did happen on 24 last night I missed it, b/c i forgot it was monday.

Kelvin,

Hey man good to see you checking in. I don't think Ive talked to you since Nielapalooza last month.

On 24, that new director of CTU offered a plea bargain to Chloe. She said if she resigned that she would let her go. So Chloe left. The cops that surround Jacks truck arrest Jack and he explains that he works for CTU. So they call up CTU and they confirm his story so they let him go. So they trail that suspected terrorist for a few miles. Then he gets stopped by the cops and the cops run his tags and they don't arrest him even though it's a stolen car. So he catches on that they are following him and he crashes head on into a tanker and blows himself up.

The secretary of defense and his daughter discover a gas line in their cell. So they kick the valve open and try to kill themselves. But the terrorists smell the gas and catch on before it kills them.

The trial is about to begin and the president gives the order to destroy the facility. They figure that its much more embarassing to have the sec of defense on TV on trial and get murdered in front of the world. So they decide they are gonna call in an air strike to blow up the building.

Jack finds out about this and they tell him to stand down, but because his chic is in there Jack is determined to break her and her dad free. And thats how it ended.

Yeah Ill stick with the photography for a whie. I enjoy it. As long as I see progress, I'll be happy. Im at a standstill right now, I hope the class gets me over that hurdle and takes me to the next level.

Yeah the bad intelligence regarding the WOMD makes things look bad. But I agree with you that I think the presidents intentions are good.
