Random Shizzle
I heard some good news last night on the radio. Apparantly OJ Simpson is in tax trouble and will most likely be serving some time in prison. It's about time OJ was reintroduced to a jail cell.
Throughout the past year, I've heard a lot of promises from hopeful Democratic candidates, and the president alike. During this time I've also heard from certain people how President Bush is the only choice and from other that John Kerry is the future of this country. What I've come to learn is that I need to be happy with whoever wins this years election. If Bush wins, we'll have 4 more years of second guessing. Quite frankly, I'm getting tired of hearing it day in and day out. I'm sure it's partially due to the election being just around the corner, but it's pretty much been like this for the past 18-24 months. If John Kerry wins, we'll see some change, and sometimes a breathe of fresh air is a good thing. We'll get to see if John Kerry is a man of his word and if he can live up to all his promises. I'd prefer to see the president re-elected, but I won't be devistated if he isn't. Maybe a little change is needed.
Lastly, Opie and Anthony made their debut on XM Radio yesterday morning. I'm a huge fan of talk radio. I probably listen to talk radio on average about 15-20 hours a week. I listen to Howard Stern in the morning, Don and Mike on the way home, and Ron and Fez in the early evenings. With the FCC cracking down on "indescent" broadcasts, the three shows I listen to most often have changed quite a bit. And for the most part for the better. I think Don and Mike's show is a lot better since they cleaned up. I think they tried to be too outrageous and it came across as being a little lame. What they do now is very unique and creative. So I wonder how o&a will come across on the uncharted, unrestricted airwaves of XM. Should be interesting. O&A's show was out of control (in a good way) back when they got fired. They did some outrageous things in the studio and just went a little too far by taking their hijinx out of the studio and into a church.

It stinks that Opie and Anthony are on XM and Howard will be going to Syrius. There just seems to be something wrong with paying for talk radio. Maybe they'll be some sort of merger eventually so you only need one radio to receice both Syrius and XM. Then I would buy into the whole satalite revolution. The new rumor is that Howard's is running towards the end of his E! show contract as well and he's looking to sign on with HBO or Showtime so they can show all the things they can't show on E!.
