Wake up with the King?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I need to get this off my chest. While watching football they played this strange Burger King commercial. This guy wakes up with this man in a giant King mask on. I'm a little freaked by any kind of puppet, or doll with a dead, lifeless stair. This giant king guy definitely has a weird look in his eye, and this bizarre almost sexual grin on his face. Burger King is freaking me out. First the subservient chicken, now this. JEEESUM!!!

He sort of looks like the king from Mr. Rogers.

Yes, he does look like a Mr. Rogers character!!! They always weirded me out too. There was also this puppet I remember when I was growing up that freaked me out. She had the face of an old, mean lady. Her name was Madam. The scariest puppet ever.

I remember Madame! I always thought the Madame was a sign of respect. I just found out it also can mean the head of a brothel.

head of a brothel, yes. Like the Mayflower Madame! I'm glad you remembered Madame. There are certain parts of my childhood I remember that noone else seems to remember. Like this show called Magic Garden that used to be on WPIX. Until I mentioned it to my friend Kellie, noone else I talked to remembered the show. Damn I miss that show...

That sounds familiar. What was it about?

Magic Garden was this show where these two hippy girls would sing songs. And they had this crazy squirrel who lived in the knot of the tree named Sherlock. He was this fuzzy, pink squirrel.

Yup that's them. As recently as a few years ago, the two women from the show were touring the country. Apparantly people that grew up watching the show were taking their kids to see the live show. Good stuff!!!
