Motion...

The new CSLR challenge theme for this month is Movement. Here is my submission. I like it, but I think I can do better. I may need the assistance of Rachel to capture this the way I envisioned it. I can still submit two more entries, I have a few more ideas, we'll see what happens.

So far the weekend has been nice. Rachel's aunt and uncle were down visiting from Pennsylania yesterday. me, Mike, Rachel's dad and uncle went to play golf yesterday. The weather was perfect for golf. It was in the 70's with low humidity and bright blue skies. We teed off at 2:00 and managed to fit in 24 holes. We probably would have gotten closer to 30 in, but we encountered a REALLY slow group in front of us on the front 9. They quit after 9 holes, so we were able to play at a quicker pace after that. Mike and I hustled Rachel's dad and uncle for $4, each. We played best combined scores for a dollar a hole for the last 12 holes. Once we were done we headed back to Rachel's parents for some grilled burgers and hot dogs, it was a fun day.

The Giants got their QB. I think the Giants may have been better off with Philip Rivers their initial 1st round pick. I think overall he has more tools than Eli Manning, plus it costs the Giants 3 more picks in the draft to conclude the trade for Eli. Hopefully I am wrong and Eli is the Giants All Pro QB for the next 10 years. I've been hoping for a new Giants QB for years, I think Kerry Collins is too unpredictable to be a good QB. Some days he would throw for 350 yards and throw 3 TDs other days he would throw for 350 yards with no TD's and 4 INT's. The Giants should be a lot more interesting to watch with Eli behind the center this year.

Watching 21 Grams on Friday night. I can't really say it was a bad movie, but it wasn't a very good movie either. The 3 main actors, Sean Penn, Benicio DelToro and Naomi Watts all did great jobs of acting, but something lacked from the story. Plus I'm not a big fan of movies that jump around from the past to the present. The movie was nothing like I imagined to be. That's not always a bad thing, because I felt the same way about Secret Window, but enjoyed that movie a great deal. The one thing I will say about the movie is that it's a very depressing movie. Lots of death, sickness and failure. One thing the movie proved to me is how unpredictable life can be, and how quickly life can change. In some cases for the worst, other times for the better. If you are in a depressed mood, I wouldn't suggest watching this movie. It really paints a bleak outlook on life.
