The Stranger Part II

His hands wrapped around her wrists and pulled her to her feet in an instant. The second he touched her, she felt a surge of energy run through her body. A bright white light enveloped her, temporarily blinding her. By the time her eyes adjusted to the dark lighting of the alley, he was nowhere to be found. Her weakened legs now stood firmly, her aching head plagued her no more. As she bent down to pick up her purse, she saw a figure of a man in the distance some 100 feet away. She gathered herself and began walking towards the silhouette of the shadowy figure. Every time she got closer, the figure seem to grow smaller and move farther away. As she looked closer, she could see his blue eyes glowing dimly. They appeared to flicker and dance around while the rest of his form remained still. She was somehow drawn to his eyes, the longer she looked, the harder it became to look away. Then in a flash, she saw something. A horrible image that she would never again forget. The image of Karen's beaten and bloody body dangling from the ceiling. Held there by a single rope tied around her ankle. She could hear Mark screaming for help as Paula sobbed uncontrollably...
